vVault Partners with Onset to Deliver Comprehensive Email Attachment Functionality

vVault Selects METAmessage Conversion Server - Carrier Edition to Give Users Ability to Read Email Attachments on their Wireless Devices

Santa Cruz, CA - Onset Technology, a message-conversion solutions leader, today announced that vVault, a leading mobile productivity solutions provider, will use Onset's METAmessage™ Conversion Server (MCS) - Carrier Edition to provide email attachment conversion capabilities for wireless users of vVault-powered services. vVault plans to integrate Onset's conversion technology into its proprietary vVault Platform messaging engine, thereby giving users the ability to read the text contents of email attachments on wireless devices.

"vVault's use of our message-conversion solution points to the real and growing need among wireless device users for remote access to email attachments," said Steve Koontz, Onset's Director of Communications. "We believe that going forward we will see many users' email attachment needs addressed via offerings from telcos, ISPs and ASPs. The METAmessage - Carrier Edition is ideal for those environments."

"Onset's MCS - Carrier Edition conversion technology provides the telco-grade scalability, reliability, and usability required to meet the high volume and performance demands of the vVault Platform," stated Tilly Chang, Marketing Director for vVault. "Onset's ability to deliver the contents of email attachments, together with vVault's email and fax printing capabilities, completes the wireless email user experience over mobile devices."

Onset's METAmessage for Wireless solutions help increase productivity by letting mobile users remotely read and print attachments - which often contain business critical information such as contracts and contact information - in much the same manner as they would from their desktops. The METAmessage solutions support more than 25 file formats, including common business applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
