Santa Cruz, CA - Onset Technology announced today that Compaq Computer Corporation will feature Onset's new METAmessage™ for Wireless products as options for secure, server-based, wireless email attachment solutions for iPAQ™ BlackBerry™ Wireless Email device users. METAmessage for Wireless products provide mobile device users with feature-rich, easy-to-use solutions to read and print e-mail attachments much as they would from their desktop. The agreement with Compaq is one of several that Onset has recently penned with resellers or corporations for METAmessage for Wireless, underscoring the growing demand for a message-conversion solution and the increasing popularity of the new Onset offerings.
The iPAQ BlackBerry devices are designed to increase productivity by allowing users to manage email messages, calendar, address book, and task information while on the move. Onset's METAmessage for Wireless solutions give users remote access to an additional layer of information - the attachments contained in email that can often include business-critical information such as contracts and contact data. Using METAmessage, users can forward email attachments to a designated email address where the METAmessage server converts the message content and returns it to the user as a text message. Users may also print attachments to any fax machine.
