Industry's First Free Wireless Microbrowser for RIM BlackBerry™ Includes Development Services for Secure Wireless Client/Server Solutions to Enterprise Customers at a Nominal Cost
Las Vegas, CA - Wave 2001 - Software Incubators, Inc. (SWI) the supplier of StockBoss, the industry's leading wireless financial alert and notification service, today unveiled the Wireless Global Enterprise Microbrowser (GEM), their free microbrowser for use with RIM's (Research In Motion, -NASD: RIMM) leading wireless handhelds. The thin client wireless microbrowser enables mobile enterprise customers to access their secure back-end database. The GEM is available for download at Software Incubator's Web site at www.softwinc.com.
"In response to the increasing demand for cost effective wireless enterprise solutions, Software Incubators is pleased to introduce the industry's first free enterprise wireless microbrowser," said Bill Eichen, CEO of Software Incubators. "Software Incubators is confident that our new Global Enterprise Microbrowser™ client/server suite delivers the performance, ease of use, AES security, and flexibility that our enterprise customers require. Our focus is on inventory management, quote and order processing, corporate intranet access, and other mission critical applications which can be accessed from the RIM 950 and RIM 957 Wireless Handhelds™. We have made a strategic decision to offer our custom development expertise at a nominal cost. This will ensure that our customers bring their solutions to market quickly without extraneous investment."
In a radical shift in their wireless applications business model, Software Incubators has minimized the cost of custom solution development by introducing a per transaction model. "We intend to share the risk/reward equation with our partners by offering "pay-per-view" pricing. Our technology seamlessly links with our partner's HTML back-end and includes support for SSL," said Jeff Arenberg, VP of engineering and founder of SWI. "The launch of our Global Enterprise Microbrowser has received enthusiastic response and we are pleased with the feedback from our partners."
In addition to the enterprise market, a consumer version of GEM will be released in June. wwwBoss (wwwboss.com), will be available on a monthly basis to SWI's real-time StockBoss (stockboss.com) customers. "We wanted to reward our loyal installed base of StockBoss customers while enhancing their user experience with new services," said Bill Eichen, "wwwBoss provides wireless access to applications such as airline travel, baseball scores, world and financial news, even finding the closest In-N-Out Burger™ restaurant. There are currently over 100 different applications running on wwwBoss, and the list is growing every day." wwwBoss provides an easy to use, over the air web clipping service, and supports a broad range of applications. The service offers the mobile data customer access to information 24/7 from their handheld devices.
