NeedTEXT Attachment Opener Chosen By Leading Law Firms For Wireless Users On RIM BlackBerry
Toronto, ON - Epoch Integration Inc., a provider of enterprise wireless software, today reported that its NeedTEXT Attachment Opener Enterprise Server application has emerged as a standard for law professionals using the RIM BlackBerry Wireless Handheld.

NeedTEXT Attachment Opener allows users to read the content of over 40 types of file attachments (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF). BlackBerry users simply forward any email message with an attached file to a NeedTEXT email address. The software converts the attached file into text and sends it back to the user's device as a new email message. NeedTEXT Attachment Opener will even retrieve the text embedded in fax and image file attachments by using Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
The Enterprise Server version of the software installs on the customer's network, behind the firewall, providing high security for sensitive corporate data. The application is optimized for organizations that have the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) software integrated with Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes. Additional features include the ability to retrieve addresses from global address lists in Exchange and Notes, and the option to print or send attachments as outgoing faxes from the network.
