eDial Adds Mobile Capabilities to its Voice Conferencing System with Shipment of Version 2.1

eDial Mobile Call Control System Enables Users to Set Up and Control Calls from Handheld PDA

Waltham, MA - eDial, Inc., provider of next generation telephony solutions, today announced shipment of version 2.1 of the eDial Voice Conferencing System. Among many of the new features and enhancements included in this version is Mobile Call Control, which gives conference call users the capability to set up and control conference calls from the RIM BlackBerry™, a handheld device that lets mobile professionals send and receive e-mail wherever they go. The eDial Mobile Client for BlackBerry has been developed as optional software to the eDial Voice Conferencing System, enabling mobile conference call users to bring the features of the desktop client to the RIM BlackBerry.

The eDial Mobile Call Control System redefines convenience for mobile users by empowering them with call management capabilities while traveling or working from a remote location. Mobile users are now able to initiate conference calls from the RIM BlackBerry by simply selecting names from their local address books or by entering phone numbers. They are also able to control calls from the BlackBerry, including the ability to mute, hold or drop call participants. In addition, the eDial Mobile Call Control System includes call management capabilities since call detail records are maintained in the BlackBerry's journal for personal records or billing purposes.

In addition to supporting the RIM BlackBerry, eDial has made other significant enhancements to its Voice Conferencing System. For example, call set up is even easier with Microsoft Outlook® Calendar integration. Now, once a conference call is scheduled, the details of the call are automatically added to the individual calendars of call participants.

On-demand calls can now be made even more easily with the capability to dial by telephone number, name or e-mail address. The eDial Voice Conferencing System also includes several enhanced communications features, such as secure (SSL-based) instant messaging and support for sidebar conversations during a conference call. Also added was web-based slide viewing of PowerPoint presentations during a call.

"We are delighted to have extended our voice conferencing technology to the mobile conference call user, as well as to have enhanced the calling experience for all conference call users with the addition of significant call set up and communications features," said Jill Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of eDial. "Users now have the capability and flexibility to easily set up, control and manage their own conference calls, regardless of whether they are at corporate headquarters, a remote office, or on the road."

The list price for an unlimited site license for the eDial Mobile Client for BlackBerry is $2,500. The software can be used with any version of the eDial Voice Conferencing System.
