Flowfinity announces its vision and technology roadmap for enabling integration between mobile device platforms and enterprise applications
Flowfinity Wireless, a leading provider of 'multi-tasking, always-available wireless applications', today annoced its vision for seamless integration of wireless handhelds with existing enterprise infrastructure and applications. Flowfinity's products and technology provide innovative, yet pragmatic, solutions to the problems of extending enterprise applications to the mobile, frontline staff responsible for managing relationships, managing valuable assets, and managing critical information.

To address this vision, Flowfinity has revealed a technology roadmap for its patent-pending Thinflow™ technology. Flowfinity's objective for this roadmap is to clearly articulate immediate, near term and long term commitments to delivering on the promise of its vision. Today, the patent-pending Thinflow technology supports:
- XML and XML Web Services, including both .NET and J2EE
- integration using Visual Studio .NET
- integration using either Java or C++
- integration on either Microsoft or Sun servers
- Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange interoperability
- access to Oracle, IBM and Microsoft databases
- plug-and-play forms integration
- BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds™ (models 857, 957, 5810 and 5820)
- BlackBerry Enterprise Server including end-to-end security through RIM’s new Mobile Data Service feature
- GPRS, Mobitex, and DataTAC networks
Before the end of 2002, Thinflow will also support:
- Microsoft's .NET Compact Framework
- LDAP directory services integration
- personalized multi-application portal capability
- multiple Microsoft platforms (Pocket PC, Tablet PC, Notebook PC)
- new BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds
- VPN and PKI secure communications
- 802.11b, iDEN and CDMA networks
In 2003, Thinflow will also support:
- interactive visualization with Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
- pre-integrated connectors for leading ERP, CRM, and Customer Service platforms
- add-in modules for Borland tools for rapid integration capability
- connectors for leading enterprise systems management platforms
- Microsoft Smartphone platform
- roaming across devices (desktops, notebooks, tablets, handhelds) and networks
- all 2.5G and 3G networks
