Vodafone expands range of services for business customers with BlackBerry®

E-mail, diary appointments and calls on the move with BlackBerry™ from Vodafone

Maastricht - From today, Vodafone offers its business customers even more convenience with BlackBerry™ from Vodafone. With the BlackBerry® wireless communication platform, a combined handheld computer and mobile telephone, business customers automatically receive their e-mail and can make mobile calls whilst browsing through their electronic calendar. When abroad, Vodafone's business customers can use BlackBerry in a large number of European countries including Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Making mobile calls, e-mailing and organising

BlackBerry from Vodafone is a component of Vodafone Mobile Office, an umbrella of user-friendly mobile services that Vodafone offers its business customers, which includes for example the recently introduced Vodafone Remote Access. The addition of BlackBerry from Vodafone to the product portfolio is a result of Vodafone's focus on the development and marketing of attractive mobile solutions that meet customer needs, increasingly taking a much more customer centric approach.

BlackBerry from Vodafone includes a user-friendly wireless handheld computer and mobile telephone all in one. Thanks to the clear icons on the display and the integrated keyboard (including trackball) Vodafone business customers are on-line 24 hours a day ('always on') enabling them to access their corporate e-mail and electronic calendar wherever and whenever they want. It couldn't be easier for business customers to use the new mobile service, BlackBerry from Vodafone. Just a minor addition to the company network and on the end user's desktop computer is all that's required to ensure that e-mail messages are automatically forwarded. BlackBerry is developed and manufactured by Research in Motion (RIM) and used by thousands of organisations in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific including government bodies and large corporations.
