Vettro Launches Comprehensive Mobile Application For Salesforce.com Subscribers
Application dramatically raises the bar for user experience and CRM features accessible from mobile phones and BlackBerry handhelds
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Vettro, a leading provider of mobile sales and field service applications, today announced the launch of its RainMaker application for salesforce.com. Vettro RainMaker is optimized for Java™ Technology-enabled mobile phones, including select Motorola iDEN® mobile phones and BlackBerry® handhelds developed by Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM), to provide enterprise sales and field service organizations with access to the information they need to close more business, run more efficiently and keep customers loyal.
Vettro RainMaker for salesforce.com provides users with online and offline access to salesforce.com when away from the office, helping to significantly improve their productivity and sales results. Dynamic notification of new leads, cases, and account updates can provide a critical competitive edge, allowing the mobile workforce to improve response times and close more business. RainMaker's intuitive interface allows users to quickly view, update and navigate through vital CRM information with minimal keystrokes. Full telephony integration with the phone features of the mobile device allows users to make phone calls from within RainMaker and resume where they left off to immediately update relevant data in salesforce.com.
"By deploying RainMaker on Java-enabled mobile devices, including Motorola iDEN phones and BlackBerry handhelds, enterprises can cost-effectively provide their mobile sales and field service organizations with an indispensable revenue generator and productivity tool," said Joe Rymsza, president and chief executive officer of Vettro. "RainMaker enables executives to more effectively manage their field forces, respond more quickly to new opportunities, generate accurate sales forecasts, and most importantly, eat their competitor's lunch."
"Vettro RainMaker can enable our current and future Motorola iDEN phone users to rapidly unlock extraordinary value and productivity from their field sales and service organizations," said Rajiv Mehta, director of Business Development, Motorola's iDEN Subscriber Group. "Vettro has leveraged our handsets' advanced features to deliver industry-leading functionality and a superior user experience."
Vettro RainMaker interfaces directly with salesforce.com, offering salesforce.com customers a means to rapidly implement a mobile solution while preserving their existing information technology investments. In the spirit of the "End of Software," the Vettro RainMaker application can be provisioned, updated, and even deleted completely over the air, eliminating the need for time-consuming wired synching operations or expensive recall of devices for software updates.
"Vettro RainMaker precisely reflects the vision behind our introduction of sforce and offers tremendous value for salesforce.com customers," said Roger Goulart, vice president of global alliances at salesforce.com. "The features and user experience of RainMaker truly raise the bar for mobile business productivity applications. Thought leaders like Vettro will continue to help strengthen salesforce.com's position as the CRM solution of choice for the enterprise."
The lead capture functionality within the RainMaker application will be used by all the sponsors at Dreamforce to capture leads directly into their salesforce.com accounts by bar code scanning attendees' registration numbers directly from their badges. Additional information, such as sales potential or follow up actions can be immediately attached to each captured lead and dynamically updated in salesforce.com.
