WolfeTech Announces Support for BlackBerry Mobile Data Service

Wireless software developer also to support Java-based BlackBerry Handhelds with Sigma version 1.3

Claremont, CA - WolfeTech Development Corporation, a leading software developer for wireless devices, today announced that the company will support the Mobile Data Service feature of BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ and Java-based BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds™ from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) with the forthcoming Sigma version 1.3 wireless enterprise software.

WolfeTech Sigma is a wireless solution designed to provide field professionals with immediate access to enterprise data via BlackBerry® handhelds. It is based on open standards with administrator controls, including the option to define multiple user groups, each with differing levels of access, and a kill-switch, ensuring that corporate data never falls into the wrong hands, even if a device does. Sigma’s iOTA™ (interactive Over-The-Air) technology offers automatic wireless synching with corporate applications, eliminating the need for IT staff to collect devices to update or install new applications.

Sigma features Subscription Services, a method of detecting changes or updates to applications or web pages at scheduled intervals. With this feature, corporations can enable their wireless applications to automatically update at scheduled intervals and intelligently update data unique to each user. Sigma version 1.3 will complement the Mobile Data Service feature of BlackBerry Enterprise Server™, to leverage the multi-network functionality and end-to-end security of BlackBerry.

“Customer demand for the new features of BlackBerry has inspired new growth all around,” said WolfeTech CEO Surya Jayaweera. “WolfeTech has always supported the BlackBerry platform, and we’re continuing that path by supporting the newer Mobile Data Service and Java features with our next Sigma release.”

WolfeTech Sigma software is available for BlackBerry 850/950/857/957Wireless Handhelds. Sigma 1.3 will also provide support for BlackBerry 5810/6210/6220/6510/6710/6720/6750 models, on the Nextel, Verizon Wireless, AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile networks as well as RIM’s international carrier partners.
