Grameenphone offers BlackBerry Wireless Solution to Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh
Dhaka, Bangladesh - Grameenphone has recently sold the BlackBerry® wireless solution to Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh. Standard Chartered employees now have wireless access to important business information, enabling them to become even more productive and make valuable use of their time out of the office.
Leveraging the proven and robust capabilities of the BlackBerry solution, employees can now have access to corporate email, phone, organizer, Internet and other applications from their BlackBerry smartphones through the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software. BlackBerry Enterprise Server tightly integrates with the Bank’s corporate Microsoft® Exchange server and works with existing enterprise systems to enable secure, push-based wireless access to email and other corporate data.
Standard Chartered can also take advantage of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server's over-the-air application management, deployment features and IT policy controls to help simplify integration, enforce high levels of security and manage mobile applications as they evolve.
Standard Chartered Bank is one of the first enterprises in Bangladesh that opted for the BlackBerry solution under Grameenphone’s Business Solutions division.
The agreement was signed by Osman Morad, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bangladesh, and Anders Jensen, Chief Executive Officer, Grameenphone Ltd. on behalf of their respective organizations.
Ahmed A. Shah, Managing Director & Head of Client Relationships, Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Country Chief Risk Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh, and Tania Ahmed, Head of Business Segment, Brands, along with other officials of Grameenphone were also present at the signing ceremony.
