  John Jackson
Senior Analyst

John Jackson joined Yankee Group as an Analyst in March of 2002. Now a Senior Analyst in the Wireless/Mobile Technologies Decision Service, Jackson's research coverage includes wireless devices and device technologies, both in terms of hardware and software. Additional areas of focus include applications development and delivery platforms, device manufacturing and distribution strategies, and device management. Jackson also orchestrates Yankee Group's global handheld and handset forecasting with members of the global wireless teams. In 2003, Jackson conceived and launched Yankee Group's Global Wireless Handset Tracker and Forecast, which tracks the performance and market shares of the top six handset vendors and includes forecast metrics across an exhaustive range of regions, air-interface technologies, segment characteristics, and enabling technologies.

Prior to joining Yankee Group, Jackson spent 2 years at Chase Manhattan, and 5 years at a boutique research firm focusing on competitive market analysis for semiconductor and telecommunications infrastructure firms..

Jackson holds both a B.S. degree and a M.A. degree from Boston University.
